Star Mapping and Other Things

Alida had a school project to draw what the moon looked like. Unfortunately it was a New Moon, so there was no moon to be seen, but both kids had fun mapping the stars! Gio mapping the stars Both kiddos mapping the stars! Alida captured this moment while we were playing Yahtzee. Adam playing Yahtzee Gio thought it would be fun to set traps for Adam and I, horrible things like a line of cars in front of our bedroom door, and blocks under our pillow! 😱 Alida was very distressed by this and so she put warning signs all around the house for us 😆 One of the deadliest traps I've ever encountered!

Here are a few photos, we've been sick with a cold so apparently I haven't taken too many photos recently! Thankfully we are all feeling better now and the kids are back at school.  The kids really wanted me to take a picture of this little grasshopper that was sitting on the side of our house, it was pretty neat! I painted this sign so that the mailman won't leave our packages out in the rain. It isn't perfect looking, but it works perfectly! Alida took this picture, of course. More of Alida's handiwork.  The kids begged me to take a picture of them doing whatever it is that they're doing.... Toes! By Alida There wasn't much ice cream left, so I let Alida finish off the pint. She was pretty smitten 😊

What a Day!

We had quite the day today celebrating both my the Feast of the Archangels and my 31st birthday! Gio doesn't have kinder on Tuesdays so I got to spend most of the day with him. We went to the park and had fun throwing rocks in the river for quite a while! Then we stopped by 2 different Dutch Bros. to get a free birthday drink! We got one for him and Alida to share at the first stop (he drank half then we saved the rest for Alida when she got off of school) and we got another drink at the second Dutch Bros. for Adam and I to share.  Alida also got her braces adjusted today! She chose orange, yellow, and black for her rubber band colors in anticipation of Halloween.  For dinner Adam picked up take out for us from my favorite Thai restaurant, it was even better than I remembered! Then I was able to open some presents and spend a relaxing evening with the family. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and prayers! Here are some photos from today as well as from the weekend wh...

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!
