Hello all! Sorry it has taken me forever and a day to put up a new post, I'm still trying to figure out how to juggle my time with a newborn. Between feeding, playtime, and changing diapers I'm lucky to find the time to eat, sleep, and do my nebulizers, let alone write!
This last weekend was quite an eventful Labor Day weekend. On Saturday we (Adam, Alida, and I) met up with some of my old high school friends and headed east to a wedding of another high school friend (Kelly) in Estacada. We stopped for pizza at a local pizza place in Estacada (Hitchin' Post Pizza, I think it was called...), which had surprisingly delicious pizza, and were able to spend some time catching up with each other before the wedding. Kelly's wedding was beautiful and, as always, it was a great reminder of the marriage vows that Adam and I made on our wedding day.
Alida behaved wonderfully at the wedding! She didn't fuss at all (which is quite unusual for her in the evenings, given that she tends to save all of her crying for that time of day) and she was all smiles for the many strangers that she encountered (with mom or dad by her side, of course!). We all danced on the dance floor together, with Alida bobbing in our arms. Missy May (Alida) really seemed to enjoy all the different sounds and people walking about. I suppose that with this being her second wedding (the first being my cousin John Paul's wedding) she is pretty much an old pro when it comes to these type of events :)
Sunday and Monday were spent relaxing as a family. On Monday we had a picnic at the park in front of the capitol building and in the evening we visited with friends to celebrate our friend Colleen's birthday.
On another note, our house is now officially green! Ben, our faithful painter, spent the weekend getting color on the house, and he's almost finished! I'll be sure to put up a picture when it's complete.
We had such a great weekend and we were so blessed to be able to spend it with friends and family!

Love, The Librande Family

Yay! I'm excited for updates and pictures! However, I know it takes planning to actually get posts done (I have months of nothing happening on mine, as you know). We don't need anything fancy... we just love to hear from and see you guys!
