Big Boy #1

Hello family and friends! Yes, I am FINALLY adding something to the blog! Here are just a few pictures from Giovanni's birthday, Adam has the rest on his phone so I'll have him send them to me so that I can add those as well :)

Giovanni had a fun time at his party! He wasn't quite sure what to make of the cupcake at first, but once he stopped trying to shake the frosting off of his fingers and put it into his mouth, he quickly devoured it! Thank you to everyone for sending gifts and prayers for our little man on his big day! We did receive a present in the mail from Toys 'R' Us with no note, so we're not sure who it came from...please let us know so we can thank you!

Giovanni is doing really well, and gaining mobility everyday! He can now army crawl, pull up on anything and everything, and has even started cruising along the furniture! He still won't sit without falling over, but it seems to be that he prefers to lay down or stand...

Alida is also doing well, her vocabulary is growing everyday as is her little personality. She loves to play pretend, splash in puddles, and paint, as well as many other things! Alida is our little sweetie and for the most part a very good helper around the house.

Adam is busy as ever, with teaching, tutoring, chess club, and going to school, but we still get to see him every now and again :). This weekend he will be doing an Elvis impersonation for an old co-workers anniversary party, if I'm home I will definitely be taking pictures!!

As for me I am in the hosptial this week getting another round of IV antibiotics. They had some trouble getting the picc line in yesterday, so I will be going to the radiology lab to have it placed instead (they use a little more technology and so have less trouble placing the picc line). I have also started doing crossfit, after 2 years of Joe trying to get me to do it, and it has been alot of fun, as well as a great workout! Thanks Joe and Maria for your encouragement and support!

Since I am in the hospital this week, with little else to do, I will be working on getting more pictures up for everyone to enjoy! Pray for me that all goes well with the picc line placement!

God bless!

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!

Spring Forward!

Hello everyone! We hope that daylight savings is treating you as well as it is treating us, Giovanni slept in until 8 am today! Here are some pictures from last month till today, enjoy! Having fun in her dress from Aunt T! She loves it! Who's hiding under there? It's Alida! Crusin' all over the place! Having fun with Oma! We were so blessed to have Oma's help for 2 weeks in February!!! We love and miss you so much Oma!!! Made a bed out of towels Eating breakfast with Oma! Still enjoying her dress! Having fun in a giant roll of paper that came in a package! Paper Princess Alida! Getting big, and needing a haircut! Big boy, only eats big people food now! Fell asleep during lunch time! This was as good a smile as I could get from her.... Alida fit as many toys as she could on this chair, I think she did a pretty good job! They're having a party! Giovanni loves watching ...

Hair Cut and a Story

First off, happy Easter everyone!!! Alleluia!  Yesterday Giovanni got a haircut! Adam was the barber and I was the chair. Gio did a great job and aged about 3 years by the time we were finished. Check it out! Before... After! Before... After! And now for your listening enjoyment, here is a little video of Alida telling the story of Peter Rabbit, pretty much word for word from her story book (with a few mix ups here and there). She was looking at the book while sitting on the potty and I heard her telling the story, like I said, basically word for word, pretty good memory with that one (definitely comes from the Librande side)! I didn't get Alida in the picture, mainly because if she saw me with the camera she would stop telling the story. So put on your listening ears (and two year old speech translator) and enjoy!
