Yesterday was Giovanni's big day at the hospital! He had to have a sedated MRI done to see if his pituitary gland was abnormal. Gio previously had a quick brain scan MRI done, which took about 3 minutes and did not require sedation, and it was during this MRI that the doctor thought his pitutary gland looked to be on the small side, and so ordered a sedated MRI to get a better look at it. We left our house around 5:30 am and arrived for his appointment at 7 am. Thankfully they put a numbing cream on his hands and feet prior to putting in the IV. Gio was not a happy camper, and fought the nurses tooth and nail, but we had a great nurse who was able to get the big ol' IV in his little foot on the first try! The MRI took about 45 minutes and then we got to watch our sleeping boy wake up and enjoy a bottle after having fasted for more than 12 hours. He was VERY hungry, and ate almost an entire slice of starbucks banana bread all by himself!
We got the call from the doctor today, and all the results from the MRI came back normal! Giovanni is as healthy as can be, praise God! Thank you all for your prayers!
Love, The Librande Family
