What a Day!

We had quite the day today celebrating both my the Feast of the Archangels and my 31st birthday! Gio doesn't have kinder on Tuesdays so I got to spend most of the day with him. We went to the park and had fun throwing rocks in the river for quite a while! Then we stopped by 2 different Dutch Bros. to get a free birthday drink! We got one for him and Alida to share at the first stop (he drank half then we saved the rest for Alida when she got off of school) and we got another drink at the second Dutch Bros. for Adam and I to share.  Alida also got her braces adjusted today! She chose orange, yellow, and black for her rubber band colors in anticipation of Halloween.  For dinner Adam picked up take out for us from my favorite Thai restaurant, it was even better than I remembered! Then I was able to open some presents and spend a relaxing evening with the family. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and prayers! Here are some photos from today as well as from the weekend wh...

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!

I happened to have a coupon, so we made a deal that I would purchase the cards with my coupon, but he couldn't play with them until he earned enough money to buy them from me ($10.39).  Fast forward to just over a week later, and this little man has been busting his booty to earn those cards! He has gone above and beyond with his chores picking up dog poo, cleaning the toilets, brushing the dogs, dusting, vacuuming, feeding the dogs/fish, helping fold laundry, making beds, etc. Finally, last night after scrubbing the toilets he earned enough money to buy his Pokemon cards! I think the pictures below can better tell you how excited he was!  I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty fun for me to see this little man work s...
