Dress up time!

Hi everyone! Things have been pretty steady here at the Librande household, just getting ready for baby Giovanni! My mom through a baby shower for Giovanni and me over the weekend which was a lot of fun! We played a baby name game where we had to guess the top 2 boy and girls names from several different decades including 1880, 1910,1920,1950 etc. and ending with 2000! Needless to say I didn't do very well...but John was certainly a popular name for most decades! We also played a game called 'daddy knows best'. My mom asked Adam 10 questions, and then I had to guess what answers he gave her. I got 4 out of 10 correct, but I was pretty close on several of them, so Adam and I aren't too out of sync when it comes to parenting! We received alot of great baby clothes, diapers and wipes at the shower, and definitely seem to be set with baby clothes size new born-3 months! I don't have pictures from the shower to share, but my mom does, so I'll try to get some pictures from her.

We had a mini ultrasound yesterday to see how Gio is doing. Everything looks great, except he's lying sideways, so I've been giving him a talking to and trying out some fun upside down off the couch positions to get him to turn the right way! My sister is in the hospital due to low lung function, but should be out by Friday to finish up with home IV's, please keep her in your prayers.

Adam started school today, so please keep him in your prayers as well! It looks like it may be a tough term, plus with our little munchkin man on the way we will all be in need of some extra grace!

Alida has been having fun playing dress up and coloring lately. She has recently gotten really excited about finding the moon and the sun, and loves having mom and dad draw the letter 'A' as well has hearts, starts, and Jesus (a cross).

Here are some pictures of Alida dressing up in some of Adam's clothes.... (hats are WAY too much fun!)

And almost as soon as the shirt was on, it was off again!

Here she is wearing daddy's hat!

'Hat' is one of Alida's new words, not to be confused with 'heart', which sounds an awful lot like hat. She is definitely expanding her vocabulary!

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!

We were so blessed to have Oma's help for 2 weeks in February!!! We love and miss you so much Oma!!! Made a bed out of towels Eating breakfast with Oma! Still enjoying her dress! Having fun in a giant roll of paper that came in a package! Paper Princess Alida! Getting big, and needing a haircut! Big boy, only eats big people food now! Fell asleep during lunch time! Hair Cut and a Story

First off, happy Easter everyone!!! Alleluia!  Yesterday Giovanni got a haircut! Adam was the barber and I was the chair. Gio did a great job and aged about 3 years by the time we were finished. Check it out! Before... After! Before... After! And now for your listening enjoyment, here is a little video of Alida telling the story of Peter Rabbit, pretty much word for word from her story book (with a few mix ups here and there). She was looking at the book while sitting on the potty and I heard her telling the story, like I said, basically word for word, pretty good memory with that one (definitely comes from the Librande side)! I didn't get Alida in the picture, mainly because if she saw me with the camera she would stop telling the story. So put on your listening ears (and two year old speech translator) and enjoy!
