Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow! I don't know where to begin with all that has been going on this past week, so I'll let the pictures do the talking...

We certainly have been enjoying our extra time with Adam during this Christmas break from school and the extra days that he's gotten to have off of work for the holidays! Here Adam and Alida are playing dress up- below is a video of how the process worked... unfortunately the video is sideways, so you may have to turn your head, or the computer screen...enjoy!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is quickly becoming a favorite of Alida's, this girl definitely loves story time!

She didn't want to wear her clothes, but Alida had fun wearing her new apron from grandma!

This is the new party dress that Alida got from her Great-Aunt Janell and Uncle John. She wore it to our friend's wedding which took place during Mass on the Feast of the Holy Family!

And of course, no outfit is complete without movie star sunglasses!

Here Alida is playing with her new zoo toy that she got from Aunt T, thank you!!! Alida really has fun with it, and she is able to use alot of her other little people toys with it as well.

Alida also had a lot of fun playing in the GIANT bag that the present from Aunt T came in! :)

Alida sweeping the kitchen floor in her ruby slippers :)

Aunt Sue and Uncle Randy sent us some money for Christmas, which we used to buy some books at our local used book store! We got some great finds that Alida has really been enjoying! Thank you Aunt Sue and Uncle Randy!!!

We've really been enjoying our Christmas season and we have received so many gifts from all of you! Uncle Joe and Aunt Maria sent us a beautiful frame with our last name printed on it (which will be perfect to put a new family picture in after Giovanni is born!) as well as a book for Adam and $5 for Alida! From Aunt Diane we received Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Adam was SUPER excited for this!), a meat thermometer (woohoo!), new books for Alida, and some cute P.J's as well! Tomorrow we will be celebrating baby Giovanni with a baby shower at my mom's house (I'll definitely have to get pictures up!) and we'll be enjoying our last weekend before Adam has to go back to school. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers! We hope that you all have a blessed Epiphany and that you are still enjoying this Christmas season to it's fullest!

Love, The Librande family

Happy Veterans Day!

Happy Veterans Day to all of our family members who have served our country and/or are currently serving our country! Thank you for all that you do/have done to help better our country and the people that live here. Adam had to work today, but my parents, sister, and brother-in-law had the day off, so Alida and I were able to enjoy some time with them this afternoon. Alida woke up with a bit of a stomach bug this morning, but seems to be feeling better, which we are so thankful for! We hope that everyone had a great day! This picture was taken in early October. We have a great apple tree in our backyard that grows 2 different kinds of apples! Alida found this apple on the ground and thought that she'd give it a try... She definitely enjoyed that apple, so I'd say it was a good pick! Alida learned how to climb up on our kitchen chairs in mid-October. I thought that pushing the chairs in under the table would be able to prevent her from climbing on them when ...
