Hi everyone! Wow it has been quite a while since I posted on here, and I have many, many photos to share! I am going to start back with photos from May and I will continue on for how ever long it takes until my photos to share catch up with our current lives. I hope that you are all doing well!

| For those of you who haven't already seen him, here is Adam with his new glasses! |
| Giovanni at about 4 months old |
| Yes, this IS what handsome looks like :) |
| "I have no idea what you're talking about...I didn't color on my legs while you were in the shower..." |
| Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this work of art was created about 1 minute before we had to leave for an appointment, so the ink stayed on till we got home. It may have been 90 degrees out, but this girl wore pants to see her hearing specialist. |
| Enjoying our evening outside in the backyard. |
| I'm not sure if you can tell, but the right side of Alida's lip (left side of the picture) is pretty swollen and bruised. I thought that taking the kids into the cry room during daily Mass might be easier, boy was I wrong! Alida decided to wander around the room, thus tripping and subsequently biting her lip. She was screaming and crying, all the while Giovanni was also screaming and crying because he was hungry. I learned that day that the cry room is NOT sound proof, when a kind parishioner stepped into the room to see if I needed some help with my sobbing children. After Mass, there were several people who stopped by to tell me that it takes a village to raise a child...yeah, we don't use the cry room anymore. |
| At least she came home smiling! (Also, does anyone else see a strong similarity between Therese and Alida in this picture?). |
| Here is our cutey little boy about 4 months old! |
| Sleeping in the car seat, all bundled and ready to go! |
| Alida was enjoying playing with water in the sink. We were attempting potty training this day, which is why she has no diaper on... |
| The only way I can get her to smile for the camera is if I ask her to show me her teeth :) |
| Alida sitting on the slide that she got from mommy and daddy for her 2nd birthday! We put it together in the house and let her play on it for a bit before taking it outside. |
| It was a lot bigger than we expected! |
| Adam put together a great cardboard house for Alida out of the box that the slide came in! |
| Here he is, working hard! |
| This is a GIANT pine cone that I found outside our house on one of my walks. |
| Keep in mind that Giovanni's head is in the 98th percentile. Have you ever seen a pine cone this big?! |
| Alida being a silly goose :) |
| I went to put some clothes upstairs and when I came down Alida was sitting in her pink chair which she had moved into the kitchen, it was pretty funny! |
| Our little man :) |
| Adam and Giovanni swinging in the backyard! |
| Alida having fun outside! |
| He's getting bigger everyday! |
And last but not least, our bumble bee coloring with a pen that won't write on her legs! Yes, I do learn from my mistakes....sometimes ;)
As a final family note, all is well with the North West Librande clan. Adam is the new 8th grade home room teacher at our local Parish's school, St. Joseph's. He is teaching 8th grade English/writing, art, and science, as well as 7th grade science and 6th grade science and math. Adam is really enjoying the position and is going at it head first! Adam is also preparing to take a math test himself that he needs to qualify for the Master of Arts in Teaching program that he is hoping to begin soon. I recently had a small stay in the hospital and was put on IV meds with a picc line due to some episodes of hemoptysis (coughing up blood) that I have been having. This is something that I have been dealing since high school, so it's nothing new to me, but it can be a bit frustrating at times. I got my picc line pulled this Tuesday, but then yesterday (Thursday) I experienced another episode of hemoptysis. The doctors are tying to see if I can get an embolization done, which should patch up the hole that's causing my lungs to bleed, but we'll see what the specialist says. They usually prefer to preform this kind of procedure on someone is coughing up large amounts of blood, which I'm not (thankfully!), however these small but frequent episodes are seriously cramping my style, and it would be great to fix the problem for good! Please keep me in your prayers that this will work out. Alida is doing well as always! She has recently taken an interest in all things that have to do with Thomas the train. It's not unusual to hear her yelling across the room "I'm all dusty, I need to go to the wash down!", or "Stephen's stuck in a cave, he can't move another inch!" (Stephen is one of the trains, fyi). Haha, this little girl cracks me up on a daily basis. Giovanni is our happy little man. We are working on getting him to start some physical therapy to help with his gross motor skills, but other than that he is doing great! He recently started sleeping through the night in his own bed without eating! Hooray!!
I will do my best to post some more pictures up soon! God bless!
Love, The Librande Family |
