Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I posted last, but it's been quite a busy week, as I'm sure it has been for you as well! Here are some pictures to catch you up on our Christmas season thus far:
| On the last Sunday of Advent Adam set up our Christmas tree so that it would be all ready to decorate on Christmas Eve! |
| Adam and Alida enjoying an apple snack after all the hard work of setting up the tree :) |
| We went to the Grotto on the last Sunday of Advent as well. It's a retreat center in East Portland dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Every year the Grotto is decorated with TONS of lights and they have choirs sing, puppet shows, a petting zoo, and of course, food. Here Adam and Alida are in the petting zoo area. I tried to get a picture of them with the goats, but the goats were too busy chasing the other kids who had food! Alida had a lot of fun looking at the lights and seeing the baby Jesus in the life sized Nativity scene. |
| Here is our little Picasso hard at work coloring away! This seems to be her new favorite activity morning, noon, and night! |
| This is the morning of Christmas Eve! Before Adam had to go to work we decorated our tree. |
| As you can see by Alida's demeanor, decorating the tree was tough work! ;) |

| On Christmas day we went to my parents house where Alida opened many, MANY gifts! Here she is playing with one of the dolls that she got from grandma and grandpa in it's little cradle. |
| We are attempting to open gifts from everyone throughout the 12 days of Christmas this year. So today (the 3rd day of Christmas) we opened a package from Aunt T and Beth, and one that was mysterious, but turned out to be from Oma and Opah! Here Adam is looking the Pinocchio book that he received from Aunt T! |
| Here Alida is holding the AWESOME and much needed meat thermometer from Oma and Opah!!! Also included in the package was a super nifty can opener! I'm so excited to get rid of our old one and use the new one! Thank you Oma and Opah! |
Here is a picture of me wearing the scarf that Aunt T made me! It's hard to see in this picture, but it's black with specks of color and looks absolutely beautiful! I don't know how you did it Aunt T, but thank you! I love it!! We also received the original Star Wars Trilogy from Aunt T, which we can't wait to start watching! Thank you so much for the great gifts!!!
We love you all and hope that you are having a very Merry Christmas! Happy birthday Jesus!
Love, The Librande Family

When I see you in June I will teach you how to make that scarf. I am up to about 50 and I intend to give them out to anyone who wants one! They are dead simple. Did Alida get the gift I sent from Amazon? There was some weirdness with that and I wanted to be sure. Just let me know on Facebook. Love you guys--and we loved the gifts from you. The baby photo is amazing.
