Happy Friday!

Wow! I can't believe it's already Friday! We went in and had an ultrasound today to see how little Giovanni is doing, and it looks like he's doing great! Right on track with no concerns, so please keep up those prayers! :) Alida has been really enjoying story time lately, especially Goodnight Moon, and helping me vacuum by running around yelling and asking me to vacuum up her toes :) she is definitely our little batch of comic relief! Adam has been studying hard and doing well so far in his course, please be sure to pray for perseverance for him in all that he is taking on! I've been experimenting some more in the kitchen, and actually managed to make some pretty tasty vegetarian Mexican style stuffed peppers for dinner (the peppers weren't exactly in one piece, but hey, they still tasted yummy!). We hope that everyone is doing well and enjoy this fall season. Here are some more pictures from the summer for you!
Here's Alida enjoying some yogurt and giving herself her first (and hopefully last) five-o-clock shadow!

This is officially Alida's first coloring/drawing experience. She found a Sudoku book with a pen that was left out and decided to give it a try :) Oh, and just in case you're wondering, that little yellow clip on her back is attached to her hearing aid, that way if she pulls it out we won't lose it!

Smile!

Having fun playing in the newly cleaned out cupboard.

Check out that ponytail!

Alida is trying to tell me something very important...

clearly she's texting her cousins in Texas...

Playing dress up!

Starting to climb!

Keeping me company while I do my nebulizers and vest!

Wearing her cute little tutu outfit from Aunt T :)

Having fun with dad!

Adam's birthday! Since he doesn't get home till late, we decided to do a birthday breakfast instead of dinner. French toast!

Alida with Sasha

Adam and Alida, doing fun things that make my hair fall out! This time it involved swinging Alida in circles while she laid in the bean bag...good thing Adam has dad strength!

Well, that brings us to just about the end of August, which means you will be seeing pictures in our new place pretty soon!!! We love you all and hope that all is well!

God bless!

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!

Spring Forward!

Hello everyone! We hope that daylight savings is treating you as well as it is treating us, Giovanni slept in until 8 am today! Here are some pictures from last month till today, enjoy! Having fun in her dress from Aunt T! She loves it! Who's hiding under there? It's Alida! Crusin' all over the place! Having fun with Oma! We were so blessed to have Oma's help for 2 weeks in February!!! We love and miss you so much Oma!!! Made a bed out of towels Eating breakfast with Oma! Still enjoying her dress! Having fun in a giant roll of paper that came in a package! Paper Princess Alida! Getting big, and needing a haircut! Big boy, only eats big people food now! Fell asleep during lunch time! This was as good a smile as I could get from her.... Alida fit as many toys as she could on this chair, I think she did a pretty good job! They're having a party! Giovanni loves watching ...

Hair Cut and a Story

First off, happy Easter everyone!!! Alleluia!  Yesterday Giovanni got a haircut! Adam was the barber and I was the chair. Gio did a great job and aged about 3 years by the time we were finished. Check it out! Before... After! Before... After! And now for your listening enjoyment, here is a little video of Alida telling the story of Peter Rabbit, pretty much word for word from her story book (with a few mix ups here and there). She was looking at the book while sitting on the potty and I heard her telling the story, like I said, basically word for word, pretty good memory with that one (definitely comes from the Librande side)! I didn't get Alida in the picture, mainly because if she saw me with the camera she would stop telling the story. So put on your listening ears (and two year old speech translator) and enjoy!
