Uncle Joe!

Hello everyone! Hope that all is well as winter is slowly approaching. We had some freezing rain yesterday which led to some fallen tree limbs and power outages, but the sun was out today and melted all of the ice, so winter isn't here quite yet! Adam had a bit of a blessing this morning. He went in to take his test this morning and after only 20 questions in, the computer shut down on him, which means that he has a couple more days to study until they get the computer situation fixed at the school! He was pretty happy about this because he had forgotten about this upcoming test until about 2 days ago, which didn't give him much time to study. Now he has the weekend to really put his nose to the grind stone! Alida had her 18 mo appt today, which went well, she's healthy with no concerns! Unfortunately she had to get the usual battery of vaccines, which she REALLY did not enjoy. When we got home she took a great nap though, and seemed to feel much better afterwards.

I don't know about you all, but we are really looking forward to the weekend! Tomorrow night (Sat.) we have a family enrichment night at church. Adam plays the praise and worship for it, and it's a great opportunity to meet other families with little ones in our parish! We hope that you all have a blessed weekend!

Here is a video of Alida saying 'Uncle Joe'! She was helping me in the kitchen and was saying 'Uncle Joe' really well, so I grabbed the camera, and naturally the camera distracted her to no end, but you'll get the idea! Also, I didn't realize that I move so much when I film, so sorry about all of the funny angles!

  1. She said Aunt T on the phone when I spoke with Adam yesterday. A genius baby.

Daughter's Day

Today is National Daughter's Day so I thought I'd fill today's post with pictures of our daughter, the one who made us parents, Alida! This beautiful girl is definitely her own person. She's sweet, stubborn, artistic, giving, and incredibly loving. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter!  Before braces... And after! Alida took this picture of Brumby with her baby Charlotte  We love you Alida!

Spring Forward!

Hello everyone! We hope that daylight savings is treating you as well as it is treating us, Giovanni slept in until 8 am today! Here are some pictures from last month till today, enjoy! Having fun in her dress from Aunt T! She loves it! Who's hiding under there? It's Alida! Crusin' all over the place! Having fun with Oma! We were so blessed to have Oma's help for 2 weeks in February!!! We love and miss you so much Oma!!! Made a bed out of towels Eating breakfast with Oma! Still enjoying her dress! Having fun in a giant roll of paper that came in a package! Paper Princess Alida! Getting big, and needing a haircut! Big boy, only eats big people food now! Fell asleep during lunch time! This was as good a smile as I could get from her.... Alida fit as many toys as she could on this chair, I think she did a pretty good job! They're having a party! Giovanni loves watching ...

Hair Cut and a Story

First off, happy Easter everyone!!! Alleluia!  Yesterday Giovanni got a haircut! Adam was the barber and I was the chair. Gio did a great job and aged about 3 years by the time we were finished. Check it out! Before... After! Before... After! And now for your listening enjoyment, here is a little video of Alida telling the story of Peter Rabbit, pretty much word for word from her story book (with a few mix ups here and there). She was looking at the book while sitting on the potty and I heard her telling the story, like I said, basically word for word, pretty good memory with that one (definitely comes from the Librande side)! I didn't get Alida in the picture, mainly because if she saw me with the camera she would stop telling the story. So put on your listening ears (and two year old speech translator) and enjoy!
